These
doors are simplest form of doors and can use in any ages. These types
are consists of veritcal wooden battens of height of the door and
around 35mm thickness which are normally tongue and groove jointed.
Usually three ledges are provided, each one at the top and bottom and
one in the middle.
These
doors can be either braced or framed to give the better performance and high rigidity. Battened and ledged doors are commonly used for
toilets, bathrooms, WC etc and in houses like where economy is prime
consideration.
